About

My name is Terry Super. As a Professional Engineer, my career was defined by technical and left-brained stuff. Today, I’m semi-retired and have been relaxing by doing some creative and right-brained stuff – oil painting. I love it!

In 2005 I was diagnosed with age-related macular degeneration (AMD), a retinal degenerative disease that causes a progressive loss of central vision. Since then I have been involved with the Greater Kansas City Chapter of Foundation Fighting Blindness (FFB), the world’s leading private source for inherited retinal disease research funding.

I’m fortunate because the disease was identified early. I didn’t have any symptoms but was diagnosed with the beginnings of AMD during a routine eye exam. I now have an annual eye exam which includes a retinal scan and the disease progression has been arrested with over-the-counter vitamins. So, please don’t put off getting that eye exam – it could save your sight!

Since I’m committed to its mission, I will donate all net sales proceeds of TMSgallery artwork to FFB and post totals at Giving Back.
